March 2012 – June 2013: Oak Park will see the replacement of 21,555 lineal-feet of water mains ranging from 2” to 12” in diameter. This is the Water Main Replacement Group Job 924. The installation of curb ramps and street resurfacing will also be included in the project. The project will involve portions of the following streets: 52nd, 53rd, 54th, 55th, 56th, Balboa Vista, Balsa, Biloxi, Blackton, Chollas Station, Laurel, Maple, Marvin, North Thorn, Nutmeg, Redwood, Shelby, South Thorn, Spruce, and Winlow. The water mains to be replaced will be constructed within the existing City right of way. Construction of this project will occur in seven phases over a 15-month period in order to minimize the impact to residents and area businesses. The cost of the project is $5,596,305.
