GARDEN TOOLS WANTED FOR NEW ROOTS COMMUNITY GARDEN

It is with regrets that we report the theft of garden tools from the New Roots Community Garden area near 54th St. and Chollas Parkway. Help the International Rescue Committee (IRC) by donating tools or funds to support this effort. Please contact Priya.Reddy@Rescue.org or call (619) 641 7510, x308. Shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, pruners, loppers, gloves and more are needed. The IRC in San Diego’s Food Security and Community Health (FSCH) Program creates innovative and sustainable projects that increase healthy, locally-grown, culturally-appropriate foods for and by San Diego’s refugee and low-income communities.
