FREE WaterSmartC landscape series

A FREE workshop series hosted by the San Diego County Water Authority. 

Each series of four classes will be held at the same location. Registrations are currently being accepted for the following dates and locations:

• March 29 - Southwestern College (Chula Vista)
• April 30 - San Diego Gas & Electric's Energy Innovation Center (Kearny Mesa)
• May 3 - San Diego Botanic Garden (Encinitas)
• May 10 - Cuyamaca Community College (El Cajon)
• TBD - MiraCosta College (Oceanside)

Individual series will be offered in six different locations around San Diego County. Each workshop will be conducted by a college instructor with a background in horticulture/landscape. 

The series are FREE for San Diego homeowners who are willing to

• attend all four sessions in the series, and
• replace  a qualifying lawn/turf area of landscape with WaterSmart© Landscape.

WaterSmart© landscapes incorporate

• efficient irrigation
• approved, climate-appropriate plants, and
• patios or other hardscape and design features

Participants will receive

• a landscape inspection and base drawing completed by professionals prior to their series
• an individual consultation with a landscape design professional during the third workshop
