Recycling Now Available!

We are pleased to announce that Waste Management has located a recycling receiving station right across the street from Oak Ridge next to the Oak Mountain High School football stadium. Look for the sign and arrow on Hwy 119 that says “Recycling Station” (just this side of the library). The bin is behind an earth berm so it can’t be seen from the road. The center is 24 hours, self-serve, and accepts newspapers, magazines, cardboard boxes, plastics, and aluminum. Items do not have to be separated prior to placing in the bin. They will be sorted at the receiving station. No glass, tin cans, or styrofoam, please. Contact Waste Management at (205) 841-2740 for more information.
