On July 8, 2003 we had the Alert Neighbors kickoff meeting for our Neighborhood. A speaker from the Citizens Crime Commission informed us about the Program. She suggested that we need a coordinator and three or four block captains. At this time we have only one block captain. We will need volunteers for block captains. The workload of a block captain is minimal. He or She is a contact person for Neighbors regarding crime and safety issues. Would you like to volunteer in making our Neighborhood safe and keep it free from crime? The reward for all of us will be a good nights sleep.
