Budget woes!!!!!!

Do you think the budget posted in the last newsletter is bloated

Below is an email explaining how they tried to pad the numbers so they could say there was no free cash.

Here is the attached budget with the changes from Gerald's e-mail. I will bring both copies of the budgets with me to the meeting Thursday night so that we can hammer out any differences that we have.

One thing that I might add, though. I believe that there were some changes to the proposed budget that were not formally voted on by the board. As far as a lot of these changes go, I think Gerald is probably right in that this is the way that line items were voted on by the board. However, with the original budget we showed a lot of "unallocated cash" and the board seemed concerned that homeowners would see that and think that the dues were too high. So we e-mailed out the budget asked for input and had several responses for changes to that budget. I am not sure, though, that those changes were ever formally voted on at a board meeting. I could be wrong, but I don't remember it. So what Gerald has down here is probably right according to what has actually been voted on by the board. It concerns me a little that we are now showing an additional $2,300 in unallocated cash over the assumed budget that we have been working from. (Going from $1,100 to $3,400 in unallocated cash) Do we really want to do this? Think about it so we can discuss Thursday night.

Also, I will get those accounts set up before the meeting, Gerald. I apologize for not doing that sooner.

Issues with the published budget!!

Did anyone compare this years budget to last years? Why is everything more expensive?

Why is the current board refusing to tell people how much they have spent YTD?

Because they don't want to spend anything on the playground area?

Call them and ask!!!
