San Rafael Neighborhood News ?– A few brief announcements about our neighborhood.

?• Plant a tree! The Park People have targeted San Rafael to receive free street trees in 2005. The deadline to reserve a tree is January 21, 2004. Twelve types of trees are available. Applications and additional information is available online at: www.theparkpeople.org
?• Attend a hearing. A liquor license hearing is scheduled on November 15, 2004 at 9:00 a.m., regarding a license application for 725 E. 26th Ave. Interested residents are welcome to attend at 201 West Colfax Ave. Department 206.
?• Clean up and mulch! Denver Leaf Drop continues on November 15, 2004. Locations and additional information available at www.DenverGov.org/DenverRecycles
?• Volunteer your time. Volunteers of America is seeking volunteers for their Handyman Program. This program serves Senior Citizens who may not be able to screw in a light bulb, hang a smoke detector, change a furnace filter and other minor tasks. For more information call VOA at 303-297-0408.
