Message:
1827 Park Avenue ?– The old Human Resource Building.
We have begun the demolition of this structure as planned. We anticipate total completion the week of the 18th. Due to safety reasons, it was necessary to disconnect a few of the parking lot lights on the interior of the lot as the connections were inside the building. Our plan is to leave the parking lots paved until late March.
1919 Ogden Street ?– the old Pavilion Building.
We have begun the demolition of this structure, as planned. We anticipate total completion the week of March 10th. Due to safety reasons we might also need to disconnect a few of the parking lot lights on the interior of the lots. Our plan is to leave the paved parking lots until late March.
Xcel and Comcast have been disconnecting the existing services along Ogden Street. There will be continuous work through out the month of Feb and March until the new gas and phone lines have been installed to the Health Center.
We anticipate some time in early March we will be installing a new sanitary sewer line in Ogden Street. We will be closing both ends of Ogden between 18th and 20th as well as 19th Street between Emerson and Ogden for approximately 2 months.
We are currently in the process of applying for our demolition permits on the old power plant ?– (small structure on the corner of Ogden and 18th) along with the old Utility and OP building. Our plan is to commence the demolition of the power plant the 1st of 2nd week of March and commence the demolition of the Utility building the 3rd of 4th week of March.
We are currently in the process of finalizing our contracts on the Moth Balling process for Tammen Hall. Our plan is begin mid March.
We have made several arrangements with the Denver Fire and Police department to use the facility every weekend for various training exercises. If you see emergency equipment over the week ends it is likely a planned exercise.
We have established a community hotline for questions and emergencies.
The number is 1-800-950-5381.
Please look forward to future memos with updates of progress and the project schedule.
