Because of the low attendance and lack of a quorum, it was not possible to hold elections for the position of President and Vice President. A suggestion was made to hold the election on-line and provide votes to Nelson Bock. Nominated as President, is Nelson Bock. Nominated as Vice President, is Kathryn Sharpe. Please send your votes directly to Nelson Bock at: Nbock6552@aol.com. Until voting occurs, Nelson will continue to be the acting President. Please submit your vote by January 31, 2003.

Old Action Items:
" 22nd and Washington project. No formal update. Information has been circulating that the project is likely on hold until June, 2003.
" Our Faith Church project (25th and Clarkson). No formal update. Information available is that the project is moving forward. The group felt it would be a good idea to sponsor a meeting at the Five Points Community Center for immediate neighbors to have a look at the plans.
" Children's Hospital. No formal update. Nelson will check with Marty Jones to find out the status.
" East Village. No formal update. Nelson will check with Jim Wiseman to find out the status.
New Action Items:
" The next meeting/event will be a neighborhood wide spring clean up, probably in April, coinciding with the city wide Glad-bag-a-thon.
" Annual Meeting. Planned as a pot-luck in May.
Neighborhood Web Site:
Don Gortner gave a tour of the neighborhood web site. Don has recently updated the information on the site, added links and has assumed the web master role. The site will be sent as a link in an upcoming e-mail to all residents on the e-mail list. Good job, Don.
The next meeting date was not set. An informal meeting schedule is likely to result from the low turn out at the meeting.

The next meeting? of? the Community Justice program for folks in our neighborhood is on Wednesday,? ? Jan 22,? 6 - 8 PM,? at 1400 Jackson St.? (we are being combined with the E. Colfax folks for this meeting).? The topic? of the meeting is? "Drug Selling in your Neighborhood".? There will be representatives from the City Attorney's Office,? the Denver Police Department,? and Neighborhood Services to talk with residents about? how we can? work together to combat drug selling in our neighborhood.? There will be food and child care available.
