Historic Denver's Certified Home Program

Do You Love Your Historic Home?

Historic Denver is recognizing homeowners who are proud of their older home.  Historic Denver’s Certified Home Program strives to give homeowners a way to showcase the time and care put into maintaining their home’s unique place in Denver’s history.

To be qualified for the Certified Home Program, homeowners should meet a list of criteria, which verify the home’s sensitivity to the original historic structure and design.  Homeowners need to send the application and materials along with an application fee to Historic Denver where it will be reviewed.

Upon approval, Historic Denver acknowledges the homeowners with a bronze plaque, a one-year membership to Historic Denver, access to references for preservation and restoration specialists, and various discounts to lectures, events and partnering businesses.

Historic Denver encourages the Certified Home Program because it provides both present and future owners an incentive to continue the stewardship of Denver’s diverse neighborhoods.  It allows Historic Denver to create a more accurate record of Denver’s residential architecture and its contribution to the city’s historic fabric.

A Certified Home application can be obtained by calling 303-534-5288.
