Re:  Snow removal.

TOTALLY agree.  I went out last nigh to push the snow away from my garage door so the plow could clean my entire driveway.  I cannot adequately express how extremely disappointed I am with the new service provider.

Stan, I could not agree more regarding the importance of the snow removal and safety issue.  My purpose of mentioning $ in my posting was to state that Randy mentioned the reason for the change of service providers.   He indicated that the former service provider wanted to increase fees by over 30%, and the Committee made the decision to change service providers.  

The economic question did not kick off this discussion.  What kicked off this discussion was the quality of the service.....or lack there of.  

Neighbors:

  The two Landscape & Streets Committee co-chairs who are in town would like to repond to the various posts in this discussion as follows:

1. We did get one positive comment in a text from a Structural Maintenance Committee member, who said (in conclusion): "Congrats on selecting a good snow service";

2. As far as we can determine, all other comments are from WWonRC residents who are not on any Association committee;

3. Clearscape stated they would start their plowing at storm conclusion, about 6 PM, and hoped to be done by morning - - they did not say they were starting with WWonRC nor did they guarantee completion by sunrise;

4. Regarding cost, the surrent Board meeting minutes note that the new insurance quote might require fees go to $331 per month.  If we had recommended GroundFX's proposal to the Board, fees would have gone up another $24.50 per month - - making the total $355.50, or a bit over a 20% increase in your monthly cost;

5. We will be meeting with Clearscape for a debrief, adressing issues such as clearing mailboxes, clearing drives to full width, etc (all required in the contract);

6. Be assured the L&S Committee is doing all they can to make life easy in WWonRC.  If neighbors would like to replace the current committee structure, please let the Board know so they can solicit proposals and get a cost estimate for hiring an outside management firm.  To be honest, we won't be sad if we are replaced.
