New! Free Printable Stickers

Earlier this year, the very talented artist Fruitblush offered to do a free commission to support our conservation work and we thought native pollinator stickers would be a fun and helpful outreach tool for all of our Bee City and Bee Campus affiliates. We now have four different sticker sheets you are welcome to print and distribute. These sheets are designed to be printed at home or professionally printed. View all the stickers and read Fruitblush's artist statement.

Host a Screening of the Documentary The Little Things that Run the World

We have a fun opportunity for you to host an in-person film screening of the documentary, The Little Things That Run the World. Showing a educational movie can be great way to support pollinator conservation while promoting your Bee City and Bee Campus work to a broader audience.

In this documentary, the filmmakers Doug Hawes-Davis and Dru Carr interviewed some of the leading voices in pollinator conservation and insect decline, including, Doug Tallamy and Xerces Society's own Scott Black.

This film does a great job explaining the why of pollinators protection – and your Bee City or Bee Campus can be the how of pollinator conservation action.

Check out our screening toolkit for trailers, social media content, printable resources and much more. There are three options for screening and even includes an opportunity to request a free guest speaker! Screening Toolkit: Host a Screening of the Documentary The Little Things that Run the World

Blog: Leave The Leaves! These Invertebrates Depend On It.

When the temperature starts to drop and flowers close up shop for the winter, it’s normal to wonder where all the little creatures have gone. For most invertebrates, the answer is that they’re still right next door.

Your garden’s wild residents benefit immensely when you practice good neighbor relations, leaving things a little messy and wild with a variety of leaves, hollow stems, brush piles or dead wood, soil, and flower heads available for winter shelter. That’s not to say you can’t do any tidying up – we have tips for thoughtful autumn cleanup that still leaves space for nature. Read more
