From the Columbus Dispatch 1/28/04:
On Feb. 22, McAuliffe asked his insurance broker, Louis Postage, to increase his coverage based on the remodeling.
Postage, a former Pickerington mayor who has known McAuliffe since the mid-1980s when McAuliffe was the city's law director, testified yesterday.
Normally, Postage told jurors, insurance coverage is not increased until remodeling is completed. Nonetheless, McAuliffe's coverage for the house and contents was increased from about $211,000 to about $347,000 because of an error, Postage said.
