Why PATA exists our Vision and Mission Statement

Our Vision and Mission

Our Vision:
The cooperative and efficient workings of our City, Township and School District for the Good of the ''Greater Pickerington Community.''

Our Mission:
To consult, review and make public comments on issues that affect Pickerington area taxpayers. To encourage and provide a forum for Pickerington Area Taxpayers to speak out.

PATA is the synergistic result of many independant efforts to make an impact on issues affecting taxpayers in the Pickerington Community. Many individuals who attempted to address problems and issues related to the explosive growth of our community began meeting together in January, 2000. We strive to concentrate efforts and utilize the knowledge, special interests and experiences of each individual in a collective manner in an attempt to make a positive difference in our future.

PATA is organized into three Focus Teams. The School Focus Team, Township Focus Team, and the City (Pickerington) Focus Team. This arrangement allows our members to concentrate on their area of interest and spend time effectively researching and speaking about specific issues. All teams communicate between each other since nearly all issues are interelated in the community.
PATA members are able to contact the Focus teams to get updated information on specific issues. Our main method of communication is email. We hold meetings as issues dictate. We maintain contact lists of community leaders and civic associations to enable us to seek and disseminate information quickly.

Our ''Discussion Area'' on the site is intended to share ideas on how to address our community problems...please comment and share your ideas.
