Referring to the City’s habit and currently implied need to pass issues via “Emergency of City Budget Passage during the December 17, 2002 meeting.
Bushman said the restrictions could be disastrous for city employees.
If Council does not approve the budget and employee pay plan by Dec. 17 meeting, employees will not be paid, she said.
If the budget passes and the pay plan does not, a proposed 4 – percent raise for employees will be put on hold.
Wright said the emergency legislation limits might cripple Pickerington.
“ Maybe this was their plan to halt the city altogether,” he said.
