Here is a reminder of some Geography Scholarships from the National Council for Geographic Education and the Los Angeles Geographical Society:

Women in Geographic Education Scholarship
The NCGE Committee for Women in Geographic Education (CWGE) will award a $300 scholarship to an undergraduate or graduate woman enrolled in a program leading to a career in geographic education. Registration fees will be waived, and an additional $300 for travel expenses will be awarded if the recipient wishes to attend the 2006 NCGE Annual Meeting in Lake Tahoe, NV. The award will be presented at the meeting.
Qualifications: To qualify, the student must have an overall GPA of 3.0 and a geography GPA of 3.5, based on a 4.0 scale.

The applicant must submit a 200-word (approximately) essay on "What measures might the leadership in the profession of geography take to not only interest girls and women in geography, but also retain them in the profession once their interest has been captured."

The deadline for applications is March 15, 2006.
