Traffic Mitigation

Mar 13, 2007

As we all know, with summer there will be an increase in the number of cars that will use our neighborhood as a shortcut between Jefferson Highway and Sherwood Forest. In an effort to ease citizen concern about this type of event, the Metro Council has a program to slow traffic down.

Any resident of Parkview Oaks that would like information on this program can contact a member of the Board of Directors. In a nutshell, 10 residents must sign a petition for the city to take action. This could be temporary stop signs, lane closures, etc.

Remember, we as residents will have to deal with whatever we choose to do in order to slow people down who cut through the neighborhood.

If you would like more information on this, please contact me.
