Today Parkwood is registered as a neighborhood with the city planning department, but we lack any statement, any short/long term plan as to how we would ask the city to support our near term and long term developmental and services needs.
Similarly to the 2002 Huebner Leon Creeks Community Plan for the area immediately south of Prue Road to the northern edge of Leon Valley, it seems most reasonable to suggest that the Parkwood neighborhood participate with other neighborhoods and subdivison housing areas outlined by Prue Road, Bandera Road, Loop 1604, and IH 10 to commence with a coordinated effort to establish in conjunction with the city planning department a Community Plan, similar to the Huebner Leon Creek Community Plan. The suggested name of our community plan, North Huebner Leon Creeks, simply gives an initial name to focus on addressing the developing areas north of Prue Road as well as focus on needed improvements to Prue Road.
Just to try to get started, I will invite any one to communicate with me via email or by postings on the TALK ABOUT IT section, on suggestions to begin to make something happen. Ideas and Issues are at the heart of this.
