Found an interesting energy calculator CPS Energy sponsors at its web site. Check out http://www.cpsenergy.com and click on Rebates Programs, then click on Conservation, then click on Home Energy Audit and try different changes to your home, temperature settings, etc., etc. and see the estimated energy costs (or savings) by these choices. Also note the other Conservation plans at the same web site.
There was also announced that "CPS Energy Commits $96 Million to Saving Energy" and provides Home Efficiency Rebates that cover improvements such as: ceiling insulation, wall insulation, Energy Star windows, duct testing, duct repair and sealing, duct insulation or replacement, solar attic fans, and radiant barriers.
Perhaps in a future meeting at the new Community/Recreation Center we can have some CPS Energy experts bring over sames and give us training about how to be smarter consumers and smarter energy savers?
Anyone game?
