2003 Bond Election: $50,000 to support an alternative energy source/environmental demonstration project and $1,180,000 for additional square footage to provide increased community meeting room space, computer labs, additional office space, and library enhancements.

The City Council awarded the construction contract to F.A. Nunnelly Company on June 29. Much of the site work is now completed, and the foundations and floor slab are complete. The steel framing for the building is in place, and the siding panels are being installed. The project is making substantial progress and is on schedule for completion around November 2007.
