Eighty residents pushed brooms, gathered cigarette butts, and swept the streets on Saturday morning October 16th.
After charging up with coffee at the Urban Grind teams spread throughout the neighborhood.
Pizza and drinks were served at Rogue
Brewery at noon. Prizes from Relish, Powell's Books, Addidas and others were distributed to lucky ticket holders.
Bridgeport Condos took the trophy from the spring winner, Marshall Wells, with most participants for residential buildings. Multi- Serviices repeated their win of last spring with most participants from a business.
A great time was had by all and the Pearl looks cleaner because residents care.
The spring and fall clean-up is sponsored by the Pearl District Neighborhood Assn. Lynnette Fusilier, Jon DuClos, Bob Girsberger, and Sheri Winkelman, PDNA Board members, co-ordinated the day.
