Hello All Irrigators,
Here is an update for the irrigation stand box issues that we are having.
1) I have had the repair done for the slider that is located in the stand box located on 7th Ave just south of Pierson street. The cost of this repair is $60. The old slider gate was recreated from Stainless steel (so this should not have any rusting issues for years). I have a receipt for the work and would like to present it to the persons who are directly effected by this gate (I am waiting for a list of those persons from SRP in order to send out further communication/request to pitch in for this bill).
2) A contractor has been found for the stand box at 7th Ave & Mariposa. They will be fixing this issue on Sunday. As this effects the entire subdivision I would ask that we work out getting the money for this repair prior to someone having to pay for the entire bill out
of their own pocket. For this repair Mr. Schmidt on 3rd Ave & Mariposa (in the big Adobe home) has been
able to contact 8 persons (including myself) when I spoke with him earlier today. This effects roughly 60 persons so this should *technically* be split just that many ways. The repair will be approximately $300.
3) I have been working with SRP on the following:
Creating a list of the entire subdivision with names and addresses. I am going to put this into an ''Irrigation Contact Database'' and break it down to which stand boxes/gates affect which SRP Irrigation
Customers in our subdivision. This should help to identify how to split the bills/costs up fairly and accurately. I will be happy to share this (and any other) information with anyone/everyone who would like it. Just ask!
I am also trying to make this as easy of a process as it can be but require the help of all of the Irrigation Customers in order to do the best job that I can do :)
4) I have had a couple of responses from the neighborhood so far. Thank you to all who have responded to my last posting. I am sure that there are
people who are not on that list who need to be apprised of what is going on and I intend to do that as soon as I can get a list from SRP of whose who.
5) Last, the feedback that I have received from people so far overwhelmingly seem to agree that this should be something that is done through the Pierson Place association/Treasury. This would definitely centralize this process/effort as well as make it much more easy to access for everyone. I am all for that idea and would like to contribute in any way that I am able.
For the record nobody went and put me ''in charge'' of this. It is simply this...
I saw that this process is not working well and am acting on it. Let's face it - everyone loves to get irrigation and we DO live in a desert so this is a very important asset to our community and is everyones best interest.
I have given SRP permission to give my contact information out to those who are interested in contacting me about Irrigation repairs, etc. in our subdivision. Here is my contact information once again for anyone needing it:
