PLEASANT RIDGE POA ANNUAL MEETING WAS HELD AT OSCEOLA ROW ON JULY 12TH.
The items discussed were the completion of the Pleasant Ridge US Highway 1 entryway landscaping project. After the meeting our District 1 PBC Commissioner Karen Marcus joined us for a tour of the entry project with Landscaper Joanne Davis. The landscape design used native plants and trees that are low maintenance and drought tolerant. The project was completed with PRPOA members hard work, improvement fund donations and grant money from the Neighborhood Partnership Grant program.
Also discussed at the annual meeting:
MEMBERSHIP DRIVE: The cost of the street lighting paid with PRPOA funds has increased along with the maintenance costs for our entry way landscaping, additional members would eliminate the need to raise the annual dues.
2008 Neighborhood Partnership Grant: an application was submitted by PRPOA to get a grant to landscape along Osceola Road. Several homeowners in Juno Terrace that front Osceola Road participated in the grant application process. The NPG review board will meet on September 24th. We hope that our project will recieve the grant funds for the much needed improvement to buffer our neighborhood from the commercial shopping plaza.
ADOPT A SPOT REPORT: Pleasant Ridge has been a participant in the Solid Waste Authority ADOPT A SPOT Program for 5 years. AAS Coordinator Nancy Lodise gave a report and expressed appreciation to the volunteers. Quarterly clean ups will continue, they include the annual International Coastal Clean Up,PRPOA will participate on October 4th, and the Great American Clean Up in April.
