Deputy Randon Walker came up to speak.
Assured us that their department is interested in what we have to say. And do not hesitate to call your sheriff’s office. With the rise of crime in our area, we need to keep on the look out for suspicious activity.
The sheriff’s department will in the future have presentations on home security and crime.
There much discussions and questions answered.
Close of meeting.
Our January 16 meeting was unfortunately canceled because of snow. Our last Proebstel Neighborhood Association meeting was held February 20, Tuesday.
We started our meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance.
And Donna Booth with Crime Victim Advocacy Program talked about their program. The program offers services in a safe environment for victims of general crime in Cowlitz, Clark and Wahkiakum counties.
Services include 24 hour line, information & referral, and In-person advocacy.
It is free and confidential the contact # 1-888-425-1176.
Next Sheriffs Deputy Shane Carpenters presentation was on Meth. What it is and what it contains. The results of its use and what to keep look out for in our neighborhoods. There was a lot of information shared and we all came away with a great understanding of how bad it is in our community.
Next Sheriffs Deputy Brian Ellithorpe, and went over the importance of neighborhood watches and phone trees. The crime that follow these meth addictions, and for us to keep watch in our neighborhoods.
Anything out the ordinary to call the sheriff, remember license plate ID is crucial. The sheriffs office record the ID plate # that we call in and could use them to prosecute these criminals.
We would like to thank Donna Booth, Shane Carpenter and Brian Ellithorpe for their time and all the valuable information.
