2012 RHA Annual Meeting and Dinner

Thursday, January 26, 2012

Held at the Mandarin Community Club; dinner at 6:30 PM and business portion starting at 7:10 PM. Music during dinner was provided by John Snow.

Jim Robertson served as moderator for the evening. Approximately 40 residents were in attendance.

Committee reports Connie Garnett gave the Treasurer’s and membership reports. Other areas briefly touched on were Crime Watch (Alan Todoroff), Beautification (Lynn Cuda), and Directory (Margaret Hall).

Old/new business: 

• Connie Garnet reported on the lighting project at both entrance signs during her Treasurer’s report. This was completed early in the fall.
• The following slate of Board Members for 2012 was presented: Connie Garnett (Treasurer), Lynn Cuda (Recording Secretary), Randy Haas, Margaret Hall, Jim Robertson, Cecelia Sheridan, Karen Cosentino and Alan Todoroff.  One additional nominee was taken from the floor: Gail Raley. The slate was approved as nominated. 
• Our mail carrier has asked that some indication be made (red flag, ribbon, etc.) if mail is left in mailboxes for pick up.

Crime Watch Update: was not presented. It was felt the JSO were probably on duty at UNF for the Republican debate.

Guest Speaker: John Gaughan, chief meteorologist for WJXT-TV Channel 4. John spoke on a variety of topics related to weather and modern technology.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:45 PM.

The next regular Board meeting is tentatively set for Thursday, February 16. Lynn will send out email notification to the Board in advance. Lynn will also send a “thank you” letter to John Gaughan.
