Announcements Jim Lambert
• Redwood Village Monument Sign area was cleaned up and made ready for sign installation
• Next College Avenue Clean up to be held on Saturday, May 17th 8 a.m. in conjunction with Rolando Park. Clean ups will be held 1x per Quarter with Rolando Park residents.
• Reminder - Show your community pride by shopping at the Redwood Village Shop online at: http://www.cafepress.com/redwoodvillage
• RVCC Council Elections will be held on July 7th. All Seats are open. Please make your nominations known.
• Community Garage Sale is scheduled for Saturday, July 19th and hosted by Barb Belcher
• Dumpster Day will be held on July 26th; we are still awaiting confirmation of use of Dumpsters. Plans are to have Electronics Recycling and metal as well. Marissa Luque to work with John Castro.
• On April 22nd, Marti Emerald (Candidate for City Council-District 7) coordinated a fire safety clean for our senior and disabled residents whose homes are adjacent to dry canyons. Thanks to Marti and the efforts of the Alpha Project. Marti suggested our community create a fire safe council and get Grant Money to assist with dry weed abatement.
New Business Anna Orzel-Arnita
• Motion made, seconded and vote passed to sponsor 2 children for Summer Camp at Chollas Lake Park.
• Two separate motions were made, both seconded and both votes passed to nominate Anna Orzel-Arnita to run as Community Organization candidate on the Crossroads Redevelopment Project Area Committee (PAC) representing Redwood Village Community Council AND to designate Anna to vote on behalf of the Redwood Village Community Council for the Community Organization Seat at the June 26, 2008 PAC elections.
• Resident homeowner Cindy Lewis has volunteered to head up the Streamview Drive enhancement project. Cindy will also be attending PAC meetings representing this area of Redwood Village.

Representative Marisa Luque accepted a Certificate of Appreciation on behalf of Jim Madaffer for his long time
support and assistance with implementing positive changes in the Redwood Village Community over the years.
