Tip of the Month - Identity theft prevention:
1. Shred confidential information: bills, old credit cards and even junk mail.
2. Order a credit report on an annual basis at https://www.annualcreditreport.com, the only authorized online source.
3. Don't carry your social security card or have your social security number on your driver’s license or personal checks.
4. Don't leave mail in your box over nights or weekends.
5. Only carry the credit cards you need.
6. Consider signing credit cards "Ask for ID" instead of your signature.
The President, on behave of the association, presented Councilman Olson with a clock to show its appreciation for all his help since last June. The accomplishments of the association were read and will be posted on the website.
Speakers:
Senator Paul Pinsky – The Senator spoke to us about changes in taxes, to include state sales tax raised to 6%, raised corporate income tax, and increased tobacco tax. He addressed a few questions raised by members and shared with us his opposition to slots in Maryland.

Michael Herman, County Executive’s Chief of Staff congratulated the association with its success and encouraged us to not loose the vigilance we now have.
