Speaker

Major Davis gave us an update of several police initiatives such as a public awareness campaign on locking car doors and removing valuables to help decrease theft.

There was discussions about the recent killing at a local high school and how there were gang undertones to the murder. The investigation was still open while police track down another suspect; one was arrested shortly after incident.

In response to a question by an Association member Major Davis advised that when we call the police and are asked if we want the officer to stop and see us, if we don’t want to do so ask to have the supervisor call instead.

There will be 5 officers added to the gang unit starting April 10, 2008.
