This winter Alpine will be performing some necessary pruning throughout the community, primarily in the common areas and entrances. This work will take place in December and January.
Over the years, some of the ground covers and shrubs have developed heavy wood. It's necessary to prune this type of plant material severely, and in some cases, to the ground. Along with this, we will mow some ground covers to reduce height and density. Our goal is to develop a more productive and healthy plant.
In conjunction with the ground covers and some selected shrub varieties, Alpine will be pruning all the Association's Crape Myrtles. Due to the lack of vigor many of these trees display, this pruning may also seem severe.
We at Alpine would like to assure you that these efforts are necessary, and although it may be unsightly through the remaining winter months, spring and summer will bring us much healthier and attractive plant material.
Alpine appreciates your understanding as we all work toward this goal.
