That dream was to reunite the many descendants of Sam and Mariah Peavy, who over the years had dispersed throughout the United States, multiplied and had become strangers.

Cora?’s son Willie adopted this dream to reunite the family and a decade ago, with the combined forces of many family members, a fantastic groundbreaking family reunion was held July 4, 1997 in Atlanta, Georgia. Sadly Cora Peavy-Rush did not live long enough to see the dream come true, but Cora and all of our ancestors were truly there in spirit!

The desire to reunite should be an ongoing dream for each of us. Many changes have occurred in the last ten years, personally and in the world around us.?”
