Fall Election News -- Mayor and City Council Seat Open

As of the August 25, 2003 deadline for City Council candidates to return their nomination petitions, the following Thornton residents have filed to run for City Council positions in the upcoming mail ballot election coordinated by Adams County (candidates are listed in alphabetical order, by position.):

To register to vote you must be 18 years of age by the next election day, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of your present address for at least thirdy days prior to the election. No identification is require to register. You can register to vote at any City Clerk's office in the county where you reside or any Motor Vehicle or Driver's License Bureau. If you would like to complete a voter registration form to be sent directly to Adams County or obtain voter registration information, you can visit the Adams County Elections web site: http://www.co.adams.co.us.
