City of Thornton Front Yard Forest Program

Jul 15, 2003

For all of us in Rolling Hills who have lost trees in our front yards the City of Thornton has a program to help. Whether your tree died because of disease, drought, over-watering, the poor sol it was planted in, or because you are just of those people who can't even grow mold in one month leftovers, the City has a program for you.

The City of THornton's front yard forest program allows a single family resident to purchase a quality tree from the city ahd have it planted in their front yard by a licensed contractor. The program has been temporarily suspended due to the drought, but the city is planning to get the program restarted for the Fall. Watch for more information in the next Thornton QUarterly magazine, or call 303-255-7840.

Whatever you do, if you are missing your front yard tree, check out this program. It could be your ticket to a new tree, without the work, and helping us all to keep our neighborhood looking great.
