Developing Communities Project, Inc. (DCP)
&
US EPA Community Action for a Renewed Environment (CARE)
have formed a partnership to inform the community and collect concerns about environmental issues.
Environmental Equity Matters (EEM) Ambassadors
Community Action for a Renewed Environment (CARE) offers an innovative way for a community to organize and take action to reduce toxic pollution in its local environment. They help communities create partnerships that implement solutions to reduce releases of toxic pollutants and minimize people's exposure to them. The EPA helps CARE communities get on the path to a renewed environment.
Developing Communities Project, Inc. (DCP) works through congregations, neighborhood groups, and organizations to engage, train, and empower grassroots leaders to organize the residents of Greater Roseland. DCP has trained ambassadors in a program called Environmental Equity Matters. EEM Ambassadors inform residents and facilitate meaningful conversation about EPA policies on pollution that can improve the quality of life for residents.
If you would like for your organization (Community council, coalition, association, church group, or block club) to have that "meaningful conversation" about
Environmental Matters
that effect the quality of life in your community
Request EEM Ambassadors to speak at your next meeting.
In the past year DCP & CARE hosted three town hall meetings in the greater Roseland area to inform the community about environmental issues surrounding land, air and water.
For anyone who missed the meetings DCP has trained and mobilized ambassadors to work for positive community change and equity through local churches and community based organizations. They will come and speak to your group.
