Happy Holidays Rosewood: This holiday season is a great time to rekindle our neighborhood contacts. Rosewood residents are needed to participate in making our community the best it can be. We all are responsible for our community. This is not a plea to join anything. This is a reminder that we must start somewhere. Our homes and our yards is a reflection of our community. One house at a time, one street at a time, we must do our best to keep our children safe and give our children a neighborhood where they can be proud.
HOLIDAY DECORATIONS: Times are not the best this year, but we could make the best of the situation. If you are not doing the trimming with outside lights this year, consider using other outside decorations. We all can be creative and make our community look like the holidays are upon us.
Mail out Christmas cards to your neighbors. This is a good way to meet your neighbor. Invite neighbors for coffee during the holidays. Being a good neighbor does not mean you must become the greatest of friends. Good neighbors look out for one another. Our community can only be as good as the people in it. When a community look out for one another, the chances for strangers lingering around decreases.
HOLIDAY PARTIES:
Remember to give your neighbors respect when you entertain guests this holiday season. Keep down noise after 10PM. When guest arrive, and parking is limited, remind your guest to not block driveways, and not to park their vehicles in blind spots, at corners, or double park. Remind them to leave passage for through traffic to flow freely. As you know, emergency vehicles does frequent our community.
GET SOME THINGS DONE IN OUR COMMUNITY THIS YEAR:
We can be a help to one another in little ways and big ways. Our needs will be recognized and met by our city officials and by our area merchants when we come together as a group. Before we can become a group, we need to find time to get to know one another. The next time you see your neighbor next door, take time to say hello. The holiday season is a great time to rekindle neighborhood contacts.
STAY SAFE ROSEWOOD AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
