Leaf Blowers ?– City ordnances prohibit blowing yard clippings and other debris into a city street, alley or storm drain, into public right-of-way or onto another property (City Code Sec 16-1070, paragraph H). Using leaf blowers and power tools before 8AM and after 8PM (Sundays and holidays 9AM and after 7PM) is prohibited. Fines are from $56 to $156 for each occurrence.

Rainy Season Reminder ?– Flooded Streets
(A plea from your Snell Isle neighbors who put up with flooded streets) Please do not race through our flooded streets. The salt water spray your car throws up damages yards and plants. It also corrodes the undercarriage of your car over time. Be a good neighbor and drive very slowly.

Fishing ?– With good weather and fishing season in full swing, we need to send out this reminder.
It is illegal to fish or net from either the Snell Isle or Shore Acres Bridges. Please observe the restrictions and report those who do not.

Vandalism ?– Lock it or lose it. Statues, cars and other property continue to be vandalized on Snell Isle. Please report any suspicious behavior immediately to the Police Department. If you see any damaged statues, please report their location to any SIPOA officer or board member.

Countdown to Snell Isle Sells ?– Saturday, September 9
Only 1 month left to clean out and prepare for the biggest and best garage sale ever. What you don?’t sell or donate you can have hauled away free of charge on Monday, September 11th during
Snell Isle?’s FREE Neighborhood Cleanup Day.

Keep yards maintained ?– even vacant lots ! ! !
City codes require that all yards be mowed and maintained. This applies to all homes, homes for sale, vacant homes, vacant lots and lots under construction. Please continue to maintain your yard.
