Neighborhood Night Out

South Overton residents are invited to attend Neighborhood Night Out on August 5, 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at 16th and Avenue X. National Night Out is a crime and drug prevention event spon-sored by the National Association of Town Watch. It is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for and participation in local anticrime programs, and strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships.


This will be a good time to get to know your neighbors and police officers and enjoy some great music provided by our one-and-only Tommy Barker and Friends. SORCA Board members will provide homemade ice cream, ice-cold watermelon and drinks. Bring your chairs or blankets and come enjoy the fun as we partner with one another to prevent crime in our neighborhood.
