After much waiting, the water line paid for through a grant from the Columbus Foundation was finally installed. The neighobrs were then able to fill rhe flower bed with a lovely assortment of perennials. The floral design was created by staff at the Franklin Park Convervatory and the plants were purchased through a grant from the Central Community House. We also call in an arborist from the City of Columbus to take a look at the newly planted red Oak. It was not leafing out completely. He stated that the tree is healthy and is probably still suffering some schock from being transplanted. It may take several years for it to fill out because of its size. He stated that we were doing the right thing by giving it additional water. The children really enjoy the circular design of thepark which they use quite a bit for riding laps on their bikes.
