I received notice from the City of some City jobs that may be of interest and as a courtesy to pass the information onto you. Briefly, these jobs have a deadline of 5:00 pm Friday, August 31, 2001. Remember, you must complete a separate City application for each position. The following descriptions were copied directly from the letter.

"PROGRAM SUPERVISOR-Salary up to $4,044/mo.
Aquatics-Responsible for assisting the Senior Parks and Recreation Supervisor with development, implementation, coordination, supervision, administration and marketing all city swimming pool operations and aquatics programs.
General-Responsible for supervising and directing recreation, enrichment, special events, or other special community-based programs and activities, or supervises and directs a city-wide program or service in a special programming area. May manage day-to-day operations at a community center, or other City sites. Special programming areas may include programs for persons with disabilities, older adults, and/or grants funded programs targeting nutrition, health, employment, or teen empowerment.

PROGRAM COORDINATOR-Salary up to $3,167/mo
Aquatics-Responsible for assisting Program Supervisor with the development, implementation, coordination, supervision, administration and marketing of all city swimming pool operations and aquatics programs.

Older Adults-Responsible for organizing, conducting and facilitating programs, services, and activities designed to meet the recreational, human and social service needs of senior adults within the community in one of the following program areas: Adult Day Care (Triple R Program), 50+ Wellness Programs, Elder Craftsman Boutique, Hart Multi-Purpose Senior Center, Senior Employment Programs (School Crossing Guards), Social Services and Community Outreach.

General Recreation-Responsible for coordinating, and directing recreation, enrichment, special events, or other special community-based programs and activities in a facility or site, or coordinating and directing a city-wide program or service in a special programming area. Special programming areas may include aquatics, programs for individuals with disabilities, or grant-funded programs targeting nutrition, health, employment or teen empowerment.

PROGRAM DEVELOPER-Salary up to $2,724/mo
Child Care-Responsible for developing and providing recreational instruction and activities, social development, guidance, direction, and care for elementary school children by selecting and coordinating variety of games, sports, arts, crafts, and other leisure-time activities at a child care site.

Older Adults- Responsible for organizing and conducting recreation and social activities and overseeing the personal care of older adults with memory loss and/or frailty. Incumbents work with program participants and direct the work of subordinate staff and volunteers working in the Triple R Adult Day Care Program."
