HOWARD MONROE OF THE SNOW REMOVAL COMMITTEE AND JAN
MANGUM WALKED THE PROPERTY ON 11/24/99 WITH STEVE
FIEDLER OF APPLES MAINTENANCE. THIS WAS THE FIRST
SNOW THAT APPLES HAS HAD TO SHOVEL AND PLOW.
WE POINTED OUT SEVERAL PROBLEMS WITH THE JOB THEY HAD
DONE AND STEVE BROUGHT WORKERS BACK TO CORRECT THE
PROBLEM AREAS.
WE HAVE A PROBLEM WITH WHERE TO PILE THE SNOW WHEN
WE HAVE A MAJOR STORM LIKE THIS ONE. WE DESIGNATED
FOUR AREAS WHICH WILL BE USED FOR PILING SNOW IN
THE FUTURE. IT WAS THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE SNOW REMOVAL COMMITTEE THAT SIGNS BE ERECTED INDICATING THAT
THEY ARE SNOW STORAGE AREAS AND WE ASK THAT THESE
PARKING AREAS BE VACATED OF ALL VEHICLES WHEN SNOW IS
FORECAST. ANY VEHICLE PARKED IN ONE OF THESE SPACES
WILL BE SUBJECT TO BEING TOWED AT THE OWNERS EXPENSE
AND A $100 FINE. THIS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED. THESE AREAS WERE WALKED AND DISCUSSED WITH HARVEY BREWINGTON ON 11/29/99 AND HE WAS IN AGREEMENT. THE BOARD VOTED IN EXECUTIVE SESSION TO APPROVE THIS RECOMMENDATION.
THE AREAS ARE:
THE TWO SPACES AT THE WEST END OF 4910 WALKING HORSE POINT
THE TWO SPACES BETWEEN 4950 & 5010 WALKING HORSE POINT
THE TWO SPACES BETWEEN 5060 & 5110 WALKING HORSE POINT
THE TWO SPACES AT THE SOUTH END OF 5815 COWBOY HEIGHTS
WE HAVE DESIGNATED A FEW SIDEWALKS AS NON-CRITICAL AND
THEY WILL NOT BE SHOVELED. ALL WALKS LEADING TO THE
FRONTS OF THE UNITS WILL BE SHOVELED. A PATH FROM THE
STREET TO THE SIDEWALK WILL BE SHOVELED IN THE FUTURE.
PLEASE BEAR WITH THE BOARD AND APPLES MAINTENANCE AS
WE CLEARIFY THE BEST WAY TO SHOVEL AND PLOW THE SNOW.
YOUR PATIENCE IS APPRECIATED.
PLEASE REMEMBER THE SPECIFICATIONS FOR SHOVELING AND PLOWING. THEY ARE: SHOVEL AT 2" OR MORE, PLOW AT 4" OR MORE.
