City of Pensacola Code Enforcement has asked us to extend a friendly reminder on their behalf. Code enforcement will very soon resume their inspections of properties for city code violations. Unfortunately for many in Sanders Beach this will also include blue roof tarps. If code enforcement contacts you with regard to your blue roof you should have a copy of a pending insurance claim, or a disputed insurance claim, or a contractor?’s estimate and approximate date when repairs are scheduled to begin. Being able to provide copies of this information to code enforcement will help keep you from being penalized in any way. Of course if the code violation is not hurricane related you must deal with it in the manner required by city code, which is accessible by internet at the City?’s web page.

People at the Florida State help line,toll free, 1-800-22-STORM, are there to help, but you do have to make the first call.
