HIGHLIGHTS OF MINUTES - August 6, 2002

Committees

The following committees and members were appointed by the President.
-Nominating committee: Jill Baldauf, Judy Golden, Barbara Archibald
-Newsletter committee: George Wolfberg (editor), Marilyn Wexler.
-Planning and Zoning committee: No new volunteers
-Neighborhood watch committee: Babs Lebowsky, Cynthia Winter
-Traffic committee: Leslie Hope, Judy Golden, Greer Macready, John Spicher
-Water quality committee: John Spicher
-Sidewalk committee: Alex Man, Walt Turowski, Asta Young, Mike De

Misc. Items

House at Brooktree andGreentree - No new update.
Channel Diversion Update - George reports that repavement has been ok'd.
Membership status - There are 270 members of the association.
Chevron Station appeal - Discussed briefly.
Rustic Canyon Park - Next Monday at 9am is the final walk through with the City to review the trees.
Beach updates - George will get some one to come talk to the BOD on the Will Rogers Beach improvement plans, hopefully for the next BOD meeting.
State Beach/Reef Restoration project - Both John Spicher, and Scott Hamilton reviewed the status of this project. A project overview report was filed with the minutes.
Leaf blowers - George reminded the board that on August 15th, the Palisades Community Council will meet and enforcement of the leaf blower ordinance will be on the agenda.
Chevron Station mini-mart - George presented a brief update on this project.
Newsletter - Copy deadline for the next newsletter is December 1. Articles need to be sent to George by that date.
