Pete Flandrau of 10828 Eberhardt Dr. (pflandrau@msn.com) is the coordinator of the Neighborhood Watch for Seneca Whetstone. We have 132 homes in the community including the townhouses on Badger Dr. The following individuals/households have volunteered to be Block Captains. They are listed with the corresponding addresses for which they are responsible. The Block Captains will attempt to speak with someone from each of the homes on their list and provide the homeowner with information on how they can be contacted (phone and/or email). The Block Captains will be asked to deliver the upcoming HOA newsletter which will include information about the Neighborhood Watch, the annual meeting, nomination forms for the HOA Board and a copy of the 2009 budget.

This leaves Arrowsmith Ct. and Badger Dr. without any Block Captains. Peter will continue to solicit homeowners there to participate with a pledge to install a Neighborhood Watch sign on each of those streets.

Montgomery County Police allows for the installation of two, free Neighborhood Watch signs. The 20 homeowners at the meeting held on 10/15/08 agreed to have two additional signs installed. The cost for the additional signs is $20/each. The discussion about where the signs are to be located resulted in the following:

1. Intersection of Old Game Preserve Rd. & Arrowsmith Ct. (to be seen by vehicles at the Stop sign at the intersection).
2. At the entrance to the townhouses on Badger Dr.
3. By the first house on either the right or the left side of Game Preserve (to be determined after reviewing best line of sight from vehicle coming into neighborhood)
4. On the M-83 right-of-way off of Gatlin Dr.

The installers will determine the exact locations of the signs.
