Use Permit Hearing 15 HOAs Organized Together in efforts!

Mar 27, 2007

A reminder that the hearing date is coming up on this Thursday at 10am and the hearing officer needs to be impressed with as many residents as possible that are in opposition to the secondhand thrift store issue. Please make arrangements to attend this meeting and tell you neighbor he/she also needs to be there.

You may even want to carpool. There are several ways to get to the City Hall, the one I have used is south on 7th Street turn right on Washington you??™ll see the City Hall at 200 W. Washington on the right side as you drive by. There is a parking garage between 3rd and 4th avenues on the left side of the Washington. If the Washington street entrance is closed ~ turn left on 4th Ave. and you can enter the parking garage at that point. I??™m not familiar with other lots and locations. The city can validate your parking ticket for reduced rates so bring the ticket with you.

Most important there was a meeting of several excellent speakers from our neighborhood and other HOAs that met with representatives from 15 other organizations in the Moon Valley Area. The meeting brought together some brainstorming and ideas, and a rehearsal for the speakers. The cooperative and organized efforts of 15 HOA and NA from our area have come together and will impact the hearing officer with the most important issues and concerns for each resident. For this reason individual residents may need not speak at the hearing but attend in a show of solidarity. If the speakers can provide the information first to the hearing officer the meeting may go smooth, and should there be something that you may want to add then you??™ll have an opportunity to speak.
