The May 15th meeting for Sharon Meadows Residents consisted of alot of information on activities and improvements taking place within the Sub. Over 50 residents attended the meeting to have discussion on matters regarding the Special Assessment Program that is taking place for new sidewalk replacement for the current disrepair sidewalk that we have. The subdivision built between 1965-1968 has not had any improvements until now. Wayne Bonus and Roxanne Liebrock from the City of Southfield's Engineering Department was on hand to discuss the matter. There were some HOT issues at hand as residents looked for answers to some questions regarding assessments that we received.
Nancy Banks our City Clerk was present to discuss the past election that was held and to clarify some misinformation that was out there in the public. She discussed other issues pertaining to the City Clerks office and what they are providing to the residents. The Letters for the Sidewalk Program was distributed through Mrs. Banks Office.
Maria Calhoun, Code Officer from the City of Southfield's Code Enforcement office discussed the many issues that homeowner's face with regard to everyday Code Regulation. Items such as when to put garbage out, Storage of Vehicles, Proper Maintenance of our homes. Maria also discussed how residence can help in eliminating code enforcement violators. Alot of good information was exchanged.
Sgt. Tina Alexander provided some good tips on what our law enforcement is doing to keep our neighborhood safe of crime. She discussed the various programs that are available for youths and for homeowners with regard to safety of your home. Such as a police inspection to make sure you have proper locks on doors.
