Neighborhood Stuff
1. Three hispanic men and one woman knocked on
the door of one of our neighbors in the 2000
block of Cortez, claiming to know the man?’s
deceased wife. They gained entry into the
man?’s home this way. Do NOT let persons you
do not know into your homes, regardless of
who theyclaim to be.
2. Two black men in a creamed colored car
pulled into an alley driveway on Laurel.
They told the homeowner that they needed
water for their car. When a neighbor came
out, these men left.
3. At 12:30 am on June 28th, a hispanic man
was walking down Sierra carrying a
plastic bag. He wanted money, claiming that
he ran out of gas with his family in the
car. He stated that it was too late to call
anyone he knew and did not want the police
to check him out.
4. This past month there have been 9 vehicles
broken into between 21st and 23rd and
between Cortez and Paradise. The thieves
have been taking anything they can grab that
is in the vehicle and the trunk. Do NOT
leave money, credit cards, license or phones
in your vehicle. Two white men were seen
just hanging around the day two of these
vehicles were broken into. Having a
block watch on your street can help.
5. A woman on 25th often finds lost dogs in the
neighborhood. Out of the kindness of her
heart, she takes them in and tries to find
their owners. If you care about your
pets, make sure they have identification
on them. Otherwise, when they get out they
can be impossible to find.
6. Happy 11th Birthday, Marvin on Sierra.
7. There is a new grandson on 25th. I think
his name is Triston although it was a bad
day when his grandmother called. I?’m sorry
if I have this wrong.
8.Happy Birthday Dan, on Sierra .
