New Board of Directors

On July 13, we had our first neighborhood association meeting where we nominated and voted on our new neighborhood association. We also had a chance to discuss our concerns and problems with the neighborhood as it is today. The elected members and their positions are as follows:
President, Steve Breiner
Vice President, Chela Miller
Secretary, Angela Springer
Treasurer, William Yates
Director, Beth Wallace

Volunteers Needed

We listened to all of our fellow neighbors?’ concerns at the meeting. We did see that having various committees would be needed to take on the task of getting our neighborhood to where we would all like to see it.
The following committees are being formed.

Safety, this committee would address the safety concerns and issues in our neighborhood. Possibly starting our Neighborhood Watch program.

Communication, this committee would get out the newsletters to our neighborhood to let everyone know what is going on, organizing a call list of the neighborhood, and updating a neighborhood website.

Social, This committee would be responsible for organizing social functions, neighborhood get togethers, and yard sale.

Beautification, this committee would be responsible for the beautification of areas in the neighborhood.

If you are interested in any or all of these please send an e-mail to SilverCreekNeighborhood@yahoo.com, letting us know your name, address, phone number, and committee you are interested in.

Notes and Thoughts

Our next neighborhood association meeting will be on Saturday, October 26, 2002. Once a time and place has been secured everyone will be notified.
We all want to keep Silver Creek a wonderful and friendly safe neighborhood. With that thought in mind, would everyone please be considerate of our neighbors. We all must be a part of the solution.
With this in mind, there have been some complaints made about dog droppings being left. As a responsible pet owner, please make sure that you clean up after your loved one. Your neighbors will be much more accepting of your pet, knowing that you are a good neighbor.
We realize a lot of new people are moving in to the neighborhood. If you have not received a copy of the deed restrictions please let us know, so that we may send you a copy.
Please realize that this is a time of transition. We know that everyone has concerns. We will do our best to address them to insure that this is a neighborhood that we all love.
