Sloan's Lake Citizen's Group

Summary of February 14 SLCG Meeting

Apr 06, 2007

By Jude Aiello

Those who braved the valentine?’s night snowstorm to attend the SLCG meeting were rewarded with a wealth of information, the company of caring neighbors, and hot coffee, cookies and candy. Here are some of the highlights:
Our neighborhood police officer, Eric, explained the results and reasons of our crime ranking in the city as reported in the news that day. He advised us to make sure our garages were closed and locked as there has been a rash of tools being stolen from garages. In one case a suspect was caught trying to sell stolen tools to a construction crew.

Councilwoman Carol Boigon announced the change to an elected official for the election process.
Councilman Rick Garcia gave an update on the progress of the newly formed foreclosure task force.

The group organizing the Post-News Colorado Colfax Marathon gave information on the new route that would include Sloan?’s Lake.

Keith French presented the proposal for the entrance and parking lots at the north west corner of the lake. A request was made that he return for another meeting to discuss the plans for tree planting at the park.

Plan to attend the March 14 SLCG meeting. Informed neighbors keep neighborhoods strong and safe.
