Streets Trees from Denver Digs Trees

URBAN TREES KEY TO SAFER, HEALTHIER NEIGHBORHOODS
January 21st is Deadline for Requesting Street Trees from
Denver Digs Trees

The Park People’s Denver Digs Trees offers street trees to all properties in the City & County of Denver that meet the city’s spacing requirements. The annual spring distribution day is one of Denver’s most anticipated community events. Denver residents wishing to request a street tree can contact The Park People at 303-722-6262 to request a form. Forms can also be downloaded directly off the organization’s website at www.theparkpeople.org. More than 300 volunteers make this effort possible, and help is available for anyone physically unable to pick-up or plant their tree. (Early pickups can also be arranged on a limited basis.)

The deadline for requesting street trees is January 21, 2005. The number of available trees is limited, so those interested should submit their request early. Trees will then be distributed on Saturday, April 16, 2005 at six sites across Denver.

For information on applying for a tree or volunteering, contact The Park People by calling 303-722-6262, or emailing info@theparkpeople.org.
