No motorized scooters, small motorbikes, etc. allowed

Motorized scooters, small motorbikes, etc. shall not be allowed on the streets within Southern Oaks. They can be ridden on an homeowner?’s property just not onto the streets as they are not street legal. The streets in Southern Oaks are subject to the same laws as the city streets as they are byways to the public streets. Also, in 2007 the Board voted to not allow any motorized vehicles excluding cars & motorcycles, golf carts, and other motorized handicap transports. This is also regarding the safety of the children involved and liability of parents if (God forbid) an accident with a car does happen. This issue was again addressed in last night?’s Board Meeting and it was decided that the vote in 2005 should be enforced. If you would like to address the board on this issue the next board meeting is March 10, 2009.
