We had and 1 guest and 26 neighbors in attendance.
Wes started the meeting with introduction of our guest speaker Myron Hockman from the Marion County Prosecutor?’s office.
Mr. Hockman, belongs to a Community Prosecutor?’s Program, which started in 1993 on the East Side and has been expanded to all four sides of Indianapolis. The Sheriff department joined the program in 1996. The Program was developed to help with Qualify of Life Problems. They work with the neighbor?’s to resolve their problems. They will also work with the Indianapolis Police and the Marion County Police, to look at homes, which have a list of complaints, to see if the prosecutor?’s office can get involved.
Wes then asked if Bill Bowman would like to speak at the meeting.
Bill introduced himself. He announced that he was running for the Indianapolis City Council, and that he also lives right here in the neighborhood. He stressed that we need to start calling the police. The police have said that they do not get a lot of calls from our area, if we want more patrols in our area; we all have to call them.
The meeting was ended with a reminder about the next meeting, and any one with email addresses, to please put in on the sign up sheet so that they can receive updates, via emails.
